Safety symbols, codes and markings incorporated directly into your floor

Loose stickers, faded symbols or a new zoning layout? With SolidPrint, you can incorporate safety pictograms and markings into the SolidLux floor coating in a wear-resistant finish, without raised edges.

Hard-wearing pictograms and markings, fully integrated into your floor

With SolidPrint, images, symbols and markings become an integral part of the SolidLux top layer, rather than being applied separately on top of it. This results in a smooth, seamless floor with the same wear resistance and durability as the coating itself, suitable for the most demanding industrial environments involving forklift trucks, pallet trucks and AGVs.

Fully integrated into the coating

SolidPrint incorporates the image into the top layer of the coating, without the use of films, stickers or raised edges. The result is a flat, seamless floor in which the floor graphic forms part of the surface. This means that nothing can peel off, curl up or become trapped underneath, even under heavy footfall.

Just as hard-wearing as the floor itself

The graphics share the same hard, wear-resistant top layer as the rest of the floor and therefore wear at the same rate – not any faster. They remain clear and visible for years in traffic lanes, aisleways and other high-traffic areas.

Quick to apply and can bear weight immediately

A standard-sized image (30 x 30 cm) can be applied within ten minutes. Just like the coating itself, the floor is ready for use again immediately after curing, with minimal downtime or disruption.

Safety pictograms in accordance with ISO 7010

Mark out safety zones and walkways, and incorporate warning and instruction signs into the floor in a durable manner. SolidPrint integrates ISO 7010 safety symbols into the surface in a wear-resistant manner, ensuring they do not wear away or peel off. We keep ten variants of the most commonly used symbols in stock as standard; they are available for immediate delivery and can be installed quickly.

QR codes, barcodes and bespoke solutions

As well as safety symbols, SolidPrint also incorporates barcodes for location and stock management, QR codes for digital instructions or to guide robotic traffic, and logos and corporate identity elements. Thanks to the sealed top layer, codes remain sharp and reliably scannable. We can provide other bespoke graphics on request, tailored to your floor and specific usage scenario.

A light and durable flooring system

By combining line marking, zoning, safety markings and visual guidance in a single system, a well-organised and consistent workspace is created. This supports 5S implementations and logical routing, whilst ensuring that the floor as a whole remains hard-wearing and easy to maintain.

Codes, logos and customisation

In addition to standard symbols, we provide bespoke designs on request. We do not keep these images in stock, but create them entirely to your specifications. Bespoke designs therefore have longer lead times, depending on the complexity of the commission. Examples of bespoke designs include:

  • Walking routes, direction arrows and zoning
  • QR codes and barcodes
  • Logos and corporate identity elements
  • Customised images on request

Frequently asked questions about floor graphics and SolidPrint

Any colour is possible. If you supply your design in CMYK, we will reproduce the colours accurately on the floor. Even fine details are achievable: a 1.5 by 1.5 cm QR code has been tested in practice and proved to be easily scannable. This means that even small icons, text and codes are rendered sharply.

You are free to choose the smallest size; even very small symbols and codes are possible. The largest size in a single print is 1 by 5 metres, determined by the width of the roll we print on. We create larger areas by placing several prints side by side.

For logos and bespoke images, we prefer to work with vector files, such as AI, SVG or EPS, specifying the required format. For logos, we would also like to receive the colour codes in CMYK. Please supply photographs in high resolution, as JPEG or PDF files.

The slip resistance of a printed surface is determined by the top coat chosen, not by the print itself. We apply SolidPrint to a variety of surfaces, from a bare concrete floor to an existing floor coating in good condition. Where extra grip is required, such as in walkways or wet areas, we apply the surface with a non-slip top coat. Where a smooth, easy-to-clean finish is preferred, this is also possible.

For scannable codes, the finish of the top layer is important. A rough, highly slip-resistant top layer can trap dirt in a dirty environment, making a barcode or QR code increasingly difficult to read over time. A smoother top layer without a slip-resistant finish minimises this and is also easier to clean, ensuring that codes remain reliably scannable. We recommend the finish best suited to the intended use for each area.

The positioning is determined in advance in a marking plan and precisely aligned on site by the certified applicator. This ensures that pictograms, codes and zoned areas are placed exactly where required, including in relation to traffic routes, loading bays and racking.
