The 18-hole course at the Efteling is open every day from sunrise to sunset. The popular Golf Park has a large number of members and also offers lessons and clinics for smaller and larger groups. In short: a constant stream of people over the clubhouse floor, making its maintenance the cause of some headaches. It could really use a new coat due to the constant comings and goings of users with their golf carts. Applying a new two-component epoxy finish would normally mean that the corridor to the dressing rooms would be closed for at least three days. SolidLux has shown that a new floor can be applied in approximately four hours while the changing rooms remain fully accessible to its members.
The existing industrial epoxy floor is sanded (and matted). Two layers of SolidLux Basecoat are then applied by roller and exposed to the portable UV lamp. The hand lamp is used to ensure that the surface is fully cured along all the edges. There follows a coloured (SL 7037) layer of SolidLux Topcoat which is then exposed and within four hours, the floor is once again in tiptop condition.
“The painters were faster than us. When we came back at lunchtime, the entire floor was coated and dry!”
